Setting up a Facebook Party
Having a party online seems to be the most common way people prefer to party in todays day in age. So it is important to know how to set up both a Facebook Group and a Facebook event (which ever you prefer for your parties.) Below are some step by step instructions for you to follow on how to set up your Facebook party.
Facebook group on a desktop
1. Go to your personal Facebook page
2. Click on groups on the far left side of the screen
3. Click on Create new group

Once you great the group, you will want to name it. I recommend naming is something along the lines of *Names* Online Scentsy Party. You will then want to put the privacy to Private. And choose a cover photo (you can find cover photos within your workstation, or on some of the Facebook support groups that I will add you to. For the description to the group I recommend using something the wording I posted below.

2. Click on the hamburger menu (three lines) in the bottom right corner

Once you click create new event a screen will populate that will ask you if you want the event to be online or in person. You will select online. Once you select online, it will prompt you to input the event name. I recommend this be something like *names* online Scentsy party (but you can name it what ever you feel.) You will also pick a date and time for the party (this would be the date and time discussed with your customer.) For end time, I would recommend putting at least 2 weeks out, if not longer. So you don't have to worry about the even expiring before the party is over. It helps to push it out more as well, so that you have room to extend the party if needed for any reason. For privacy you will select Private.

Once all of this is done - you will select next. Then select a location. (This is up to you - I personally do live videos, but you can click other if you are not comfortable doing a live yet. Then you put in the event description - this is listed below. And finally you upload a cover photo, which you can get from your workstation, or from the Facebook support groups I added you to. Once you are done with all of this, you will select create event, and the event will be created for you to add your host too.

My name is *name* and I'm an independent Scentsy consultant and I am SO excited to be here doing an online party with all of you.

We will have a LIVE party right here in the group/event on *day of the week, day of the month, and time* (ex: Monday, April 27th at 7pm) sharp! This party is an ongoing event, so the party link is already active and ready for orders at any time and the online party will run through *day of the week and day of the month* (Ex: Friday, April 31st) so make sure to get your orders in before midnight on that date! :)

For this party, I will be going live on the date and time listed above and after I go live then I will be making lots of posts in this group / event (edit to which one you created) to share information with you about all of the Scentsy product lines, new scents, and promotions.
